Blue Clover Named Creative Firm for City of Seguin’s EDC
San Antonio, Texas - The Seguin Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) has hired San Antonio-based Blue Clover to develop a new brand identity, beginning with a new logo, brochure and web site, as well as other branding elements that compliment the overall experience of the prospect.
A goal of the new branding campaign is to attract automobile suppliers, manufacturers and other support networks from surrounding growth areas, including the Toyota plant in southeast San Antonio.
“Blue Clover is proud to work with the Corporation to develop materials that embrace Seguin’s rich Texas history, focusing on the character and contributions of Juan Seguin to this area in the 1800s,” says José B. Sena, CEO and president of Blue Clover. “It is our plan to embrace his legacy with a patriotic spirit, incorporating the red, white and blue colors of the Texas and U.S. flags.”
Seguin is located just 30 minutes east of San Antonio, the tenth largest city in the United States, via IH-10, while Austin, the state capital, is conveniently accessible 50 miles to the north by State Highway 123 and Interstate 35. A highly productive, affordable workforce and its strategic location, combined with low operating costs, an excellent quality of life and readily available resources, provide the collective ingredients for attracting and retaining industry.
The SEDC, which has been assisting businesses since 1994, has established four program areas -- Business Development, Workforce Development, Facility Development and Infrastructure Development -- to channel assistance/incentives to expanding local industry or incoming manufacturers new to Seguin.
“Due to a surge of interest from manufacturers and retail developers, the SEDC needed to hire a marketing firm that could develop collateral marketing material, re-develop our web page and create an identity that would capture the attention of manufacturers looking for a community in which to locate. We are looking forward to the continued success of a well thought-out marketing strategy.” says Ramón Lozano, Director of Economic Development for the SEDC.
