Hedda Layne Revamps Website and Internet Presence

According to a survey done by Pew Internet & American Life Project, almost all musicians use the Internet to promote, advertise and post their music online because they have seen the benefits of higher CD sales, larger concert attendance and more radio play.

This explains why DIMA recording artist Hedda Layne has hired Blue Clover--the San Antonio-based On and Off- Line branding firm—to create her new website at www.heddalayne.com.

“My fans and other musicians are very impressed with my website because it has a slick, sophisticated look; my manager is also pleased because of its reasonable price,” says Hedda Layne, who resides in Austin.

The flash intro with streaming video displays clips of Layne’s concerts so visitors instantly hear her unique vocals and progressive music, and see the diverse, eclectic style of this song and dance diva.

Once in the site, current and future fans can hear excerpts from her three CDs, including her latest album Hedda Layne Trois. Visitors can also read about Hedda and the praises of her reviewers, including Chris Mason of Shout Magazine who says “Hedda Layne’s got one of those voices that takes you places. When she sings, she sings to you. She makes you feel like you are her world.”

“What’s really unique about the site is its content manageability, meaning it is very easy for Hedda’s manager to update things,” said José Sena, president and CEO of Blue Clover. “We know from experience that musicians especially want to be able to change whatever they need as easily as possible.”

With the content manageability feature, Layne’s manager Scott Linton can update items such as the concert calendar himself as often as possible, with ease and without having to pay someone to do it for him. Blue Clover’s advanced programming can stream in other music videos for future use, if desired.

“Overall, the new website has not only increased our CD sales, but enlarged our fan base both nationally and internationally. It’s also been a fantastic resource in that we can refer industry professionals to our site with confidence,” says Linton, who has been Layne’s manager for over a year. “I also really like being able to update the website’s ‘DATES” page at my convenience, so that new shows can be posted immediately.”

“My personality shines throughout the website, which is great,” said Layne. “It gives me the opportunity to gain global exposure with ease.”
