Rail Link International Moves into a New Era of Shipping and Freight Handling as RLI - Company turns to Blue Clover in preparation for East Kelly Railport

San Antonio, TX – Before the East Kelly Railport opened in early April, Rail Link International turned to Blue Clover to create a new logo, stationery, brochure and website for the company and its lease of a 13-acre rail transload facility to the public. In the midst of an expansion and rebranding campaign, the full-service shipping and freight handling company hired Blue Clover, a San Antonio-based On and Off-line Branding™ firm, to develop a new look and presentation for its growth plan.

To prepare for the opening, Rail Link International decided to make some significant changes. Blue Clover renamed Rail Link International “RLI Logistics” to avoid the company being only categorized with rail services and to also offer more of a corporate identity. In addition to collateral materials, the creative team developed an interactive website at www.rlilogistics.com using flash technology and offering an opportunity for pricing quotes and service requests. Taking great care to develop a site that catches the viewer’s attention, Blue Clover’s site design features organized content in a manner that is easy for the company’s audience to maneuver and find the information it needs quickly. The firm utilized a content management system that places RLI on Google searches, creating a unique sight for the logistics industry when the company pops up on the search engine results.

“Our image needed to grow along with our services and client base,” said Loy Garcia, RLI Logistics co-owner and vice president. “It was important for us to stand out from the crowd and differentiate ourselves from the rest of the logistics industry. For the first time, we are receiving business referrals by a method other than word of mouth. In fact, initially we were receiving a higher volume of business than we were prepared for.”

The East Kelly Railport project includes 56,000 square feet of warehouse space, along with nearly 2,000 feet of railroad track for transload operations, and marks the company’s first entry into the San Antonio market. RLI Logistics has since adapted their services to the new technology and demand for services that has come to their attention through website requests. As the transporting industry continues to grow, Blue Clover travels alongside RLI, enabling them to anticipate and flex with their client’s needs. Adapting the technology available today, RLI is able to tailor their services to fend off any market share loss or regain interest of those clients playing the field.

San Antonio-based Blue Clover was established in 2003 by marketing experts and partners José B. Sena, Juan Barrera and Chris Gilbert. The staff now includes full-time creative, technology and management professionals with extensive traditional and multicultural marketing, public relations and web-based communication experience from throughout the world.

This innovative talent and relentless drive has distinguished Blue Clover as an award-winning firm, including San Antonio Business Journal’s Best Places to Work, San Antonio Business Journal’s Fast Track list; the Emerging Business Award from the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and the San Antonio Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” award for Sena, the company’s CEO and president. The firm recently opened a new office in downtown Atlanta, Ga., to serve its growing client base in the southeast.
