San Antonio Growing as Creative Mecca - Blue Clover Newest Creative Agency to Open Its Doors in Downtown San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – From the large mural at the center of the agency to all of the desks in the office – all built, designed and painted by staff partners – the opening of San Antonio’s newest creative agency is truly a labor of love. Downtown San Antonio will be home to the city’s newest creative shop Blue Clover, which is located at 454 Soledad. The agency officially opened its doors during an open house packed with family, friends and clients.
A vibrantly colored mural featured on the wall at the center of the shop depicts the core mission of the founders’ vision for the agency – to help clients strengthen their build through creative and communication strategies utilizing traditional marketing and the Internet.
The agency’s President and CEO, Jose Sena, spent many years on the client side of the business and felt that there was a missing link between what agencies were offering clients as far as traditional marketing and the Internet.
“We believe in the success of integrated and consistent advertising,” said Sena. “Integrated communications is the best way to expand a company’s brand. A strategic mix of traditional marketing and the Internet gives us the possibility to reach the consumer in a more direct way and reach the highest potential for the brand.”
In addition to Sena, Blue Clover has partnered three other full-time creative professionals with extensive traditional marketing and Web-based communication experience. Although they have lived and worked in San Antonio for many years, each bring a multicultural marketing experience from all over the world.
- Derek Goins. director of technology Goins brings a great deal of digital communication experience to the agency. He previously worked at Studio Gallo and Avalon Digital Solutions as their technology director.
- Juan Barrera, creative director Barrera comes to Blue Clover from Big Chihuahua where he was art director, in which he was versed the relationship of the Hispanic market and nationally known accounts.
- Chris Gilbert, account manager Gilbert brings in customer service experience to Blue Clover. His past experience includes working at Avalon Digital Solutions as an account executive. Gilbert will oversee all clients accounts.
Other part-time team members include Graciela Soto, internal public relations; Ryan Dodds, account executive; and Mark Baun, the agency’s comptroller. As the agency grows, new creative staff will be added. Blue Clover will remain intimate in order to continue offering clients personalized service.
Blue Clover opens its door with a strong client line up, including up-and-comer music sensation David Estephan, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Pericos Bar & Grill, American Sunrise, Lopez Printing and Pet Medical Center.
